James L. Kidd, Vice President
Accomplishments and Capabilities: Jim Kidd has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, and was one of the very first in the country to achieve a National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology (NICET) Level lV, Senior Engineering Technician (SET), in Fire Protection Engineering Technology, Special Hazards Systems Layout. He has worked in the Special Hazards, HPR, and Fire Protection business for 43 years. His first four years were spent as a systems designer and field technical representative for the FYR-FYTER CO. (Norris Industries). The following 29 years he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Systems Engineer for a Massachusetts-based fire systems reseller. He was an 18-year member of the NFPA 12 Technical Committee on Carbon Dioxide Systems, and was appointed to the NFPA 2001 Committee on Clean Agents in 10/05. Jim, along with Mark Herzog of the Hiller Virginia office will be representing the nationwide Hiller Companies at committee meetings. This committee combines the NFPA 12 (CO-2), 12A (Halon) and 2001 (clean agents) into one committee. The standards will remain with the same numbers. The NFPA 12, 12a and 2001 committees have been disbanded.
Jim Kidd is also a founding director and Technical Committee member of the Fire Suppression Systems Association (FSSA), and a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), National Association of Fire Equipment Distributors (NAFED) and the New England Chapter of Fire Protection Systems Designers Association.

Peter L. Hanson, General Manager and Systems Sales Engineer
Accomplishments and Capabilities: Peter Hanson is a graduate of Wentworth Institute with a degree in Mechanical Design, and was one of the very first in the country to achieve a National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology (NICET) Level IV, Senior Engineering Technician (SET), in Fire Protection Engineering Technology, Special Hazards Systems Layout. He has worked in the Special Hazards, HPR, and Fire Protection business for 30 years. He started as a systems designer and was promoted to Systems Sales Engineer for a small fire equipment distributor in the New England area. Peter has attended numerous factory training schools and is very competent in all facets of system design, engineering, installation and management of fire protection projects. He is a member of SFPE, FSSA, NAFED and The New England Chapter of Fire Protection Systems Designers. During the summer months Peter spends his time off shooting professional fireworks displays all over Cape Cod, while during the winter months he can be found along the Canadian border snowmobiling.

Jeffrey S. Kidd, System Sales Engineer
Accomplishments and Capabilities: Jeffrey Kidd is a graduate of Wentworth Institute with a degree in Electronic Design Technology. He is certified with the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology (NICET) Level IV, Senior Engineering Technician (SET), in Fire Protection Engineering Technology, Special Hazards Systems Layout. He has been involved with the supervision of installation, commissioning, and testing of Special Hazards Systems for more than 18 years. He spent 7 years as the Electronic Alarm Technician and customer trainer at a Massachusetts-based fire systems reseller. He has performed hundreds of Room Integrity, Fan Pressurization Tests and Discharge Tests for system installations. Jeff is now part of the Hiller Sales/Engineering Team. Jeff has attended numerous factory training schools and is very competent in all types of alarm and detection devices.

John Chelo, System Sales Engineer
Accomplishments and Capabilities: John Chelo is a highly accomplished engineer, specializing in fire protection and suppression systems. He is a customer solutions-focused and extremely experienced sales engineer, with the knowledge and experience to provide full turnkey product and project support to our clients”.
John graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a B.S. in both Mechanical
and Electrical engineering technology. He has close to 25 years of engineering and fire protection experience working for major manufacturers and engineering firms nationwide.

Lois Mackey, Office Manager
Accomplishments and Capabilities: Lois Mackey is a graduate of Malden Business School. She is the operations person who handles customer service and keeps the Hiller New England Fire Protection paperwork flowing.
She has been working in the fire protection industry for over 19 years. Prior to joining Hiller New England, Lois worked for 10 years as a lead secretary at a Massachusetts-based fire systems reseller.

Linda Richardson, Secretary/Accounts Receivable
Accomplishments and Capabilities: Linda Richardson is the friendly voice that answers the telephone and keeps the Hiller New England Fire Protection accounts receivable flowing.
Prior to joining Hiller New England, Linda worked at AGFA Corporation where she spent 26 years in various types of positions.

James G. Nelson, Service Manager
Accomplishments and Capabilities: Jim Nelson received his fire protection training in the U. S. Coast Guard. Prior to joining Hiller New England, Jim worked for 11 years as a Systems Service Technician for a local fire equipment reseller. He now has over 22 years in the fire protection industry. Jim is fully licensed in special hazards and alarm service for all New England states. He is certified with the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology (NICET) Level II, Engineering Technician (ET), in Fire Protection Engineering Technology, Special Hazards Systems Layout. Jim has attended numerous factory training schools and is very competent in all types of alarm and suppression systems.

Michael O’Reilly, Assistant Service Manager – Technical
Accomplishments and Capabilities: Michael O’Reilly received his fire protection training in the U. S. Marine Corps. Prior to joining Hiller New England, Mike worked as the Senior System Service Technician and Assistant Service Manager for a fire equipment reseller in the New England area. Mike also has 8 years experience with the Boston Fire Dept., serving with their fire alarm division. He now has over 26 years experience in the fire protection field. Mike is fully licensed in special hazards and alarm service for all New England states and holds an electrical technician’s license in Massachusetts. Mike has attended numerous factory training schools and is very competent in all types of alarm, detection and suppression systems. He has proven to be aggressive and hard working in his professional persona.

Edward P. Cook: CAD Operator and Systems Designer
Accomplishments and Capabilities: Edward Cook has completed studies at Northern Essex Community College, making the Dean's List while completing a course in Computer Aided Drafting. He is certified with the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology (NICET) Level II, Engineering Technician (ET), in Fire Protection Engineering Technology, Special Hazards Systems Layout. He is an asset to Hiller New England in that he is aggressive and hard working in his professional persona. Ed has attended many factory training schools. He is currently enrolled in advanced college credit courses.
